Position Overview

The Billing Administrator completes clerical and administrative tasks related to billing of commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Create and maintain billing policies and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop strategies to improve billing efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Job Functions

• Pulls jobs for billing throughout month and submits to Project Manager for approval and processes when returned.
• Enters deposits for customer payments into ERP System. Posts AR payments timely and accurately ensuring payments are posted to the correct invoice.
• Enters Accounts Receivable adjustments to accounts and research account discrepancies.
• Contacts customers on a weekly basis with account balances over 30 days old. Prints statements as necessary.
• Processes monthly job close-out, prints reports, and prepares reports for deployment to PMs and Execs.
• Reviews changes to Iowa sales tax on a semi-annual basis and makes corrections in tax file so proper tax can be collected.
• Processes incoming and outgoing lien waivers.
• Update bill rates on an annual basis in ERP system.
• Run credit checks as necessary on new and existing customers.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Company's internal / external customers (including, but not limited to : current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.
• Adheres to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally in the performance of all job functions at all times as well as be in compliance with Company policy and procedures as it relates to all job functions.
